betta toys?

i know that bettas like to play with moss balls but both LPS's in my town are out of them, and Frodo is in his tank playing with a piece of uneaten bloodworm...he's not eating it, just digging it out of the gravel with his nose, then pushing it into the water and finding it again when it settles. i think it's fairly obvious he needs a toy of some kind, if he's gonna be a playful fish, i definitely want to encourage it. any other suggestions of things i can give him to play with?

A water bottle cap, a plastic cup, hammocks, different plants, ping pong balls, etc.
For the water bottle, you could put your Betta's food in it and he might try to get it. You should take out the bloodworm if he's not eating it, ammonia spikes might happen.

You could play with him using a laser light, the type you to play with cats. I saw something about that on you tube so I got one and sure enough Perseus would follow it around the tank as I shined it around it being careful not to shine it in his eyes.
He has moss balls but other than checking them out when I first put them in his tank he doesnt pay no attention to them now other then maybe poke his nose at them which is cute..lol
