Are these ok?

well, i took your guy's advice and i bought some new stuff for my betta :D well, i bought him a..
heater
thermometer
scrubbing pad
and a new soft-ish plant to replace my bamboo (you said the bamboo will cloud up the water)

are they ok? i havent opened them yet because i want to know if they are any good. if they are not i will return them so what do you guys think? :) i need honest opinions

It all looks great to me!

Especially that plant, my Petco doesn't have plants like that! They are some other brand and not marked as to exactly what kind of plant. I better check again, maybe it's a new line?

Anyway, I would keep and use all 3 items.

How warm is your house? Keep in mind that those tiny preset heaters only tend to change the room temperature by a few degrees.
Usually my house is quite cold so those didn't cut it for me.

I'm not exactly sure what plant that is since we don't have Petco here, but I've heard some people say that Petco also sells semi-aquatic plants, so hopefully yours is a true aquatic.

it's an amazon sword, that's aquatic. also she has a one gallon tank so that heater should be adequate. for a 5 gallon maybe not.

If you haven't put it in already, maybe exchange it for a java fern or an Anubias.

I have the same heater in my 2.5 gallon tank. It's just fine as long as the temperature of the room the tank is in is pretty consistent, but it's not cutting it for me. My AC is only on when I'm in the room so the tank gets really warm when it's off and a little too cold when it's on (I like my room pretty cold).
