Shrimp Dinner

I figured this would happen eventually, but after over a month of no betta-related fatalities, it seems Sonas finally caught one of his ghost shrimp XD Needless to say, he's not getting any pellets tonight. Little brat was still hungry when I went to feed him though

Edit: I just found the half eaten shrimp being eaten by another shrimp XD he only took a chunk out of it, and it bloated him. At least now I also know that it was 100% shrimp dinner, and not other issues, that's causing the bloat tonight.

If the shrimp hasn't decayed, you could mince the shrimp up and feed it to your other bettas. They would sure love it.

I did that with my friend's salt water crab. He must have paid at least $15-$20 for that 1 tiny crab the size of a quarter.

I don't know what's worse, having a guppy half eaten or losing a shrimp to a betta.

XD Well, I tossed it out. There wasn't much left of it after the other shrimp were done with it. They enjoyed the meal, though, I'm sure. They've been eating only plant scraps and algae for the past several weeks, they always enjoy a treat once and a while XD I need to get a carpeting plant for that tank, though, as there's not nearly enough bottom cover. Its all mid-high

I love how all bettas are different. I left for a 10 day trip, before leaving I was like to my betta. you have my permission to eat your shrimps when ur hungry...

10 days later.... I came hone to a happy looking fish and no missing cherry shrimps :O Its forever a mystery what he ate during my absence...
