vacation worries for nothing

I was so worried about leaving my betta (Stanley) while away on vacation. I have always hand fed him and now that's the only way he eats, so leaving that to someone who doesn't own fish is a little tricky. I decided to not have anyone feed him. Well I am back from my week in Maui and I am glad to report that Stan is healthy and very happy to see me (well, see his food). Thanks to the people here who gave me advice on this!

I'll wait to tell him I'm going back in 8 months

I left mine by himself and an automatic light timer for ten days :) he had 5 shrimps to snack on if he was really desperately hungry. When I came back, he was perfectly happy without needing assassinate any of my rcs :) Bettas are pretty tough.

Oh and I feed my fish in a wierd way. I scoop him out in a small clear cup, then feed him in the cup. when hes done I let him back in the tank
