Moving and Water chemistry

I'm Moving back home and I am pretty sure that the water at home is hard water but the water in my apartment is clearly softer water. What is a good way to deal with this or would the bettas adapt? Any ideas on how to handle the situation if there is any. The water that is currently in the tank will have 75% of the water taken out. Are there any suggestions besides "buying different water"

I'd start by adding only a little of the new water (along with bottled water) and gradually add more until they have adjusted to the new hard water.

Do you have a lot of old milk jugs or something like that? I would collect a bunch of water from your old house, and store it. As you do water changes at your new house, add half of the old water and half of the new water. Increase the amount of new water you add at every water change until you're only adding new water for your water changes.

You could also do a drip acclimation process. It's along the same lines, but much shorter and you'd need less of your old house's water. Acclimating Fish - Drip Method This article explains the process rather well.
