Smile What color do you want?

I am going to breed halfmoons and hopefully doubletails but i want to know what colors you want please let me know what you are thinking!
I was thinking about doing a black and a tri colored mix and coming out with black bettas with dashes of color please let me know what you think and what other colors you would like!

I don't know if that would work very well. I'm no expert on genetics, but I don't think they mix like crayons.... You'd probably end up with some black & some tri-color, depending on the genetics.

I'm all for black though. & I know some people who have successfully bred black w/ a blue background that showed only in some of the rays or some scales. They were pretty awesome. :D If you could do that, I would totally buy one.

With bettas it's hard to predict what colors you are going to get unless you know what their parents and grandparents, etc looked like.

+1
Please do a lot of research, the forums and the experienced breeders can help you and give you plenty of information- breeding is more complicated than one might think.

That color is very easy to achieve. Very common to find in PK's. Black with dashes and dots of red, blue, green, etc are very common and not rare at all

Honestly people i asked what colors you would like to see and i get a comments saying i should do this research and blah blah blah will i have been working my butt off getting ready to breed and you asume i didn't do enough research even though you don't know me i have been researching genetics for the past two weeks for your information.
Couldn't you have just answered my question? I don't mean to seem rude in any way but it frustrates me when you guys do that.

Wow
I'm sorry, I thought I was being helpful.
Just overachieving, providing extra information. Some of the links discuss genetics and colors.

Sorry.
