Am i worried for no reason?

Peas are highly debated & are typically used as a laxative of sorts. Have you asked your pet shop about the frozen foods? I'd be surprised if they don't have them. My understanding of freeze dried (& I have used them but quit) is that they don't have any nutritional value & can cause bloat, so be careful with them.

Well didnt knew that i actually thought they were better due to them been sterilised and all. I will go grab some frozen then. I used that type ages ago when i had my oscar.

If you think about it makes sense, freeze dried removes all the liquid & leaves just the casing or shell & because it's dried out its smaller but when it gets wet as in their stomach, it'll swell. So if a fish eats it in its dried form he'll eat more & then it swells in his belly causing a problem. I never thought about it until someone pointed it out to me.

Neither did i for sure. One would think that this wouldnt happen since they would munch it, but mine seems to swallow them whole. Guess I/he was lucky.
