iv tried 4 different occasions to put him in a bigger tank.. he seemed to only like the 1g tho o.0 i once pushed it for him to be in a 2.5 [few months back]and he went on with his "i hate you im not gona eat" spell.. for two weeks.. i gave in and put him back cuz i felt i was killing him..

but indeed warm water does. well except ick, i HAD to get medicine for that no amount of warm water could heal the scar it would have made on my tank lol.

i suppose ill keep watching him and pray its maybe a sore tat goes away? :C i was hoping to breed him in a month or two now idk if i can or if itd arm him :S

heres a little update guys =\ yesterday as i said he was a bat out of hell full o fenergy andwas acting fine besides wen i got close to tank.. today.. and i mean all day.. hes been laying there.. for hours on end he bobbed with his head near surface.. he was still alive so i took n put him into a jar.. now hes worse.. hell randomly go belly up or float on his side.. :( i just put him in a even shalower bowl to hopefully breath better. with only liek 1in of water..his collors have dulled.. this is devistating for me ;( he was my favorite.. and it seems overnight [tho may have been last 2 months] hes dieing :'(

and the last update... tai has now died :C hes not moving evn when i poked him with net.. hed been face down for ovr half hr so checked on him... hes gone :'(

couldn't tell from the pics but are his scales "pineconing" at all? the reason i ask is that the lump is right where his kidney is, and kidney swelling is often caused by dropsy.

Our first male Fabio got a lump similar to this. He never seemed to really care, but the thing kept growing and growing and growing until I could tell it was starting to inconvenience him greatly in his ability to swim properly. Eventually it got so big, I was sure it was going to burst if it got any bigger...

We had to put him down..

no home he wasnt pineconed. he was normal with just a random lump iv seen a pineconed betta and id known if i seen it :\ maybe it was his kidneys.. maybe it was a parasite.. im not sure.. whatever it was it killed him [im guessing] but asnt dropsy or swim blader thats for sure

exacly heres him the day befor he died being kinda pretty for the camera no pineconning. and tha side veiw of a overhead you can tell no pineconing scales.
