A couple of questions

I just got some Java Moss and I put it in some dechlorinated water in a large kritter keeper tank for now but im noticing it made the water very dirty :/
1. Will it make my tank water very dirty?
2. can i clean it before i put it in the tank?
3. what is the best way to dip it before i put it in my tank?
4. after i dip it how soon should I wait to put it in the tank after i attach it to my rock

It just needs to sit in the water till its clean, change the water often and be on the look out for snails. I have always soaked my plants a least a week before adding them to the tank.
