Just a quick question :)

Hello, I just have a quick question about my betta. :) But first off, he seems active, happy and healthy. Now, when I bought him at the petsmart he seemed a beautiful glowing blue. Then, once I got in the car I that he was a light teel/green/blue color? :) Then I got him home and once he got in his new tank he turned this darker blueish/gray color. But, if I look from a certain side of the tank he's that blue/teal/green color?? Is it just lighting changing his colors or what?? I'm just curious. :)

Yep they do that. I have one that when in a smaller 1g was a really light pink but when the light hit him he'd be purple. Now he's in a 10g & has really changed color. He's more purple, with burgundy, green or blue depending on how the light hits him. He's gotten much prettier I think. My other male looks navy blue, darker now in his 10g than he was in his 1g & when the light hits just right he has red in his Crown tail fins.

I feel like my betta looks prettier in natural light, the side when he looks the greenish color is the side where light from the window gets in there a little bit. :)
