On my 1g bowls I change out 50% on Wed. with a vacuum, and a 100% on Saturdays. I just remove the fish, and empty the bowl, rinse things off, and refill with conditioned water. Hope this helps!

They can take a while to adjust to a new food...but, I found the tetra a bit big for my bettas...I switched to Omega One betta buffet pellets, and they are tiny..my guys love em! Best of luck to you!

It's just a basic aquarium vac you can get pretty cheap at Walmart or the pet store...You just put the vacuum end in the bowl, start the siphon with your mouth, and put the end in a bucket...this help you to suck out some of the food and debris that sits in the bottom of the tank. I've found that with my 1g bowls I end up just emptying them most of the time..it only takes 5 minutes, and I don't have to deal with "floaties" lol. Just makes sure to have a gallon of room temp water prepared with conditioner..I keep two gallons of water in my room all the time for changes.
