Bubble Nests!!!!!

You would think they wouldn't make bubble nests in poor conditions or when sick, but that isn't true. Many people have had Bettas build nests while fighting illness. I had a rescue make one before he passed from a severe case of Velvet disease. I have also seen males in horribly dirty cups at pet stores with bubble nests.

In all honesty, bubble nests are instinctive...
Giving correct information isn't being much of a party pooper- just being truthful

here is a good heater for your tank- it is adjustable & has a thermostat meaning it will maintain the set temperature. i would set it at about 80 F, dont let it go under 78 F. Its very inexpensive as well. I use these heaters.

Well al my fish only make bubble nest when the water is warm and clean I guess it depends on your fish.

Aww I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad; it is a common misconception.
Some bettas don't make bubble nests period.

Some breeders have trouble getting their betta to make bubble nests without a styrofoam cup to provide bubbles with security or to spray water on the surface, since bettas mate in the rainy season in the wild.

Its wonderful to see your Betta making bubble nexts and so exciting to watch..just enjoy it you are lucky to get to see this ! Perseus was in a half gallon for a week while I waited on his 5 gallon I ordered on line, he made alot of bubble nests in there but is his 5 gallon he has only made a bubble nest once and he has been in it 3 months. He is happy though swimming around all the time and exploring every inch of his home. Everyday morning when I get up I look to see if he has made one..lol The one time he had he worked on it all day and I loved watching him do this I wish he would make more and now that his tank is cycled I would not have to disturb him doing water changes and making his bubble nest go away.
