Hi all,
I was wondering if someone knows anything about determining the sex of corys, particularly albino corys. I have two* in a communal 20g tank and have noticed that one has a constant-belly as if it's preggers. I didn't know anything about cory breeding until I looked up that they can spawn if fed well.
One of the corys is larger, rounder towards its head, and has a milky-white color in its fins. This one also doesn't 'lay' on its stomach either. It will lean up on decoration or hang off the side instead of laying on its stomach. The other is smaller, much shinier, skinnier, and its belly goes away after awhile.
If one of the corys got knocked up, I want to remove it since there are platys in the tank also. *Note: There are only two corys due to combining tanks. If the fish is not pregnant, I am going to put about 3-4 more in there since corys like to be in larger groups. (I've heard anywhere from 3+ to 6+).
Thank you!
