This one or the 25 watt one will work as well.

Yep. :) Lebron is now a better happy fishy. The OP should get this one, totally worth the price. I've heard the Elite Heater had something go wrong once the circle on the top of it goes under water...?

No idea... a lot of people use to use this heater, I use more expensive ones though so yeah, if you are willing to dish out more money...

http://www.amazon.com/EHEIM-Jager-Aq...+jager+25+watt

This heater keeps the temperature kept withing+/- 1 degree F, as long as you adjust the heater properly. Which means there will be no fatal fluctuations. Also German made baby.

Do 1-50 and 1-100% water changes a week.
When you change him ,new water should be the same +-2* as his water.
When you have him in his changing cup with his original water add about 15% new water (dechlorinated). Let him sit in the new water for about 5-10 min then do it for a few times(2-3 times) This way he will get adjusted to new temp/chemistry.

Cover his changing cup so he don't jump out.
Leave the space between top of the tank and water level so he don't jump
Be careful if you are using a net don't damage his fins. I scoop my bettas with a cup. But i think everyone has own method to couch them...

If the 2.5 is filtered only 2 50%s are needed...

Nice do you have Amazon Prime? I do!
