Hey there, I'm not new to betta keeping, but I am new to this forum. I'm Sierra, a college kid from Maine. I have two bettas, a crown tail (Bleu) and a veiltail (Calvin). They have a 5 gallon tank with a homemade divider, anywhere between a 25 and 50% water change done once a week. They have a filter on their tank. They get fed a variety of foods, frozen blood worms, flakes, dried krill chunks. They eat out of my hand and love to beg and wag their tails :P I work at a Petco here in Maine, I brought home both of them from my store. They're both multicolored, blue red teal green white and a little purple. (They match, just different breeds :D)
Needless to say, they're happy little fish with big 'ol thick bubble nests they dedicate their days to.
Oh and just to make sure no one bashes me for working at a Petco, I change the betta cups EVERY time I work, no matter how long it takes me. I can't stand seeing them in dirty cups. So they get a nice meal and bath every time I'm there :D
I'm also a hermit crab owner and I have a freshwater tropical tank.
I'll post pics of the kids in a bit. I haven't figured out the picture thing yet...h :P
