Unhappy Curling Fins.

This never happened to me before and i have care for fish before. I added pictures so you can see

He looks really clamped up...do you have a thermometer? You need to know the temp of the water. How often are you changing the water, and do you use water conditioner?

therm no.
and i change the water once a week with the conditioner. i have a feeling its the water when i had betta fish back in the day i was raising them in the Domincan Republic...im in new jersey now.

It may just be the temperature...Walmart has a cheap thermometer you can buy, and he needs a couple plants to hide in too...they like decorations.

The temp should be between 75 and 80...most thermometers have a green strip on them where it shows safe temperatures. What kind of food are you feeding him? They do better on pellets rather than flakes..and it keeps the water cleaner.

Oh, and with a bowl like the one you have...you should change the water two times a week, one time 50% and one time 100%..that way he won't get sick.
