Feed NLS Cichlid Formula to bettas?

I wanted to know if feeding 'New Life Spectrum Cichlid Formula' to my betta would do any harm or not. My LFS does not stock the Betta Formula and the closest product to it would be the Cichlid Formula. I would like to try it out. IMO, there shouldn't be any issues.

How does the protein amount stack up? Betta need at least 42% protein as they are predators. Not all cichlids are predators.

The next thing I would be worried about is pellet size. Cichlids are big fish. If they carry a general community formula or small fish formula I would take that over having to crush massive cichlid pellets.

I just looked at the ingredients; they are very similar formulas and the cichlid formula has only 3% less protein content than the betta formula, so no worries there. As long as you are occasionally supplementing with live or frozen foods it will be fine, provided the pellets aren't too big.

IMO the best way to go is with the betta Formula.
