Bettas can be very picky when it comes to food. Vary his diet, untill he finds something he likes. That could be his main food. Of the 4 bettas I have kept over a few years, pellets work the best.

Dont be worried if he doent eat for a day. Bettas can survive 3-4 days withotu any food.

In my experience bettas do not like wardleys they are too big for their mouths. The brand that I get that all 5 of mine love is AQUA culture betta pellet food. I get it from walmart. I also give my bettas freeze dried brine shrimp and freeze dried blood worms as a snack. Good luck!

I have found bettas, especially ones from Wal-Mart to be very finicky and it is likely because of the treatment they get form the sotre and shipper.

One thing that never fails to get any betta I have ever had to eat is live food. Gr4indal worms, white worms, baby mealworms, tiny nightcrawlers, anything that wiggles will be gone in a micro second. IME anyway.

All the fish I've ever had (bettas) have liked Hikari Betta Bio-Gold (Wal-Mart).

Some live worms can bloat your fish really bad and kill them, so be careful.

Mine likes algae wafers. Or else he was eating them out of spite, just to show the snail a thing or two.
