Triming plants

some of my plants have gotten pretty tall and I want to know how to go about trimming them. Do I just cut off the top parts and can any of them be replanted?

Plants in question:

Amazon sword
Foxtail - myriophyllum pinnatum/myriophyllum heterophyllum
anacharis
hygyro something or other - i think its also know as giant hygro and temple plant.
bacopa carolina
myriophyllum tuberculatum
cabomba
dwarf tiger lilly -this thing was like an inch tall - now it reaches the top of a 20G and I only had it 2 weeks

If you want them shorter remove the big leaves.

With the stem plants you can just cut any where really and replant. Though there are little bumps, usually where leaves come out of (It looks like it breaks the plants off in segments) is where you want to cut under. This is because that is where the roots come from.

With the tiger lotus and sword plant you would just cut close to the bulb (lotus) and rosette/crown (sword). The crown is where all the leaves will come out from, the closer the better.

Most of those don't have normal looking leaves...

Can any of them be replanted to grow into new plants?

All stem plants can be replanted.
Some plants will send out runners( like a strawberry plant!) you can cut the baby plant off from the mommy plant when they're big enough and replant.
Anubias and java fern grow along the rhizomes. you can cut the rhizomes in that case :)
