Use of glass in aquariums

I've got some glass "dragon tears" that I found in the floral section of the local craft store. They look exactly like some glass aquarium pieces at the pet store except $2-3 cheaper. Is there anything that would make them unsuitable for a tank, or can I use them?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by dragon's tears, if you mean the round glass stones, just make sure the color is internal and not painted on. I'd try scraping it off with a knife or wire brush before putting them in.

Yep - that's what I mean - the little round glass pieces.
