New Aquarium !!!

So today, i decided to hook up my new fishtank. its a really nice fishtank. but only one fish in it wont make sence to me. so im putting my betta in there monday or tuesday, when ever waters right! so today, while its getting prepaid, i wanna see what tank mates will be good for a 30GALLON .

Otos cories are good with Bettas but they prefer sand the the rules for tank mates can not have long fins colorful fin nippers an ADF might be happy in there but tank mate need hiding spots a female that is not too aggressive can have things like guppies and with 5 females you could build a sorioty with non nippy tank mates males have less choices remember no goldfish they are cold water white cloud mountain minnows can live in tropical but are more active in cold water.

I just got a 29 gallon, too! I'm putting my sorority in there, 9 female betta, my 3 cories and 2 otos. I plan to get at least one more cory and one more oto and maybe one or 2 more females. I would love a yellow and a green/teal girl. Oh, and I have a nerite in with them, too.

Yes, the 9 females, cories and otos are in a 20 gallon so I plan to move them into the 29 gallon as soon as I get it set up, soon I hope!

My males live alone in smaller tanks, they don't like big tanks. But some males will love living in a community tank with certain fish like neons. You need to repost your original message in the Betta Fish Compatibility forum.

Or better yet spend some time reading that forum and you can get some ideas faster than waiting for answers!

Remember cories prefer sand and smooth ground because of there Barbels.

yeah, but you can get a smoother grade of gravel, my cories are fine.

Yeah I also just prefer black sand you should see low active and long my cories whiskers are always be careful.
