If it's the same as fin rot, I just used a small bit of AQ salt with clean water, which got changed every other day.

Also I was told high protein foods should help, so I guess live food.

Fin rot is caused by bad water quality a bigger tank live live plants or more water changes to prevent salt bath medication might work adding a filter might help.

I know what fin rot is, fin melt is when the fins curl into each other.

It is an infection caused by bad water changes I keep mine in a 10 gallon with weekly 50 percent water change and its fins are perfect were would you get an idea how big is the tank Indian Almond leaves might help the reason medication or salt bath works is it kills bacteria.

ChocolateBetta: She's asking for help with her fish's fin melt... Not fin rot, or anything about fin rot.

The person does not know the cause you can not get rid of a problem without the cause and rejecting the solutions given at least no one can argue with the cause. There are solution on there.

He was in a cup from the store, most likely ammonia caused it. Again, fin rot and fin melt are DIFFERENT.
