what should i do?

when i first bought my beta he was in a tank with neons. the pet store worker said he was fine with all of them and said i could probably put him in with a few...so i did. he ate the three neons (Ringo, John, & George) And has been living alone ever since sometimes i wonder if he gets lonely. but i don't want to risk putting other fish in with him. is their any fish i could put in with pual that won't harm him and vice versa?

Bottom dwellers are generally less troublesome when it comes to bettas but it all depends on the individual bettas personality. What size is the tank? This too will have a huge impact on fish we could recommend.

Oh - one gallon is probably too small for Paul's company. That's probably why he ate his neon companions!

that must be one big betta!!!!
usually males are solitary. it is possible to place em in a community with neons but you may experience the same problem or the neons maay nip his fins.

if you wish to try again, i suggest using a 10$ 10 gallon tank with a cave for hiding
