help on my male betta fish

can anyone help me, my male betta fish started to do a bubble nest in my big tank(55gal) so i moved him and my female into a smaller one. they had already done the dance in the large tank and i had to move them cause my other fish were eating the eggs, anyway, his bubble nest wasnt very big around 20 bubbles max at a guess. when i moved them to the smaller tank he started to attack the female, so i have her in a floater bowl in the same tank. he has started making another nest but i must confess that it is rather small. is there anything i can help him with, i have put a cup in there to help him but hes not interested in it. my female is very fat and as i have said they have already done the dance once, can anyone help

If you want to breed bettas, please get much more information. There is a lot of info you need to know.

-If you want to breed them, get 1 male with AT LEAST 6 females. Most of the time the female does not want to mate, thus leading the male to kill the female.
-Larger tank (30g or more)
-Remove all females if you actually get eggs.
-You have to remove the male when they hatch.
-As they mature, you have to have indivudual cups for each male.

Please keep the female out of the male's space for now.

after the dance and the eggs are placed in the eggs, the male becomes aggressive toward the female (she must be removed now) maybe the betta is acting instictively and is thinking "job done go away must protect eggs now im depressed"

my advice (doenst mean its right) try again later in a 10 gallon tank
one learns from failure :D
