Am I treating right? Hole in pectoral fin

Pho Phan my double tail halfmoon has a new tear/hole in his pectoral (paddling/swimming fin). Its new since yesteday, im guessing he got it from a sharp root from his floating mint charley or sprite, theyre pretty sharp, probably the only sharp thing in there really. Im doing a 50% water change every other day along with a small amount of AQ salt and some stress coat containing aloe. Does this sound like a good treatment plan? Should I change, add or decrease anything. Thank you in advance :)

That sounds good to me. Rips and holes (as long as they are not infected with fin rot) will heal on their own with just clean water. This just speeds up the process :D
