Can a Bettas Eyes Change Color??

I have noticed something rather odd, but not too worrisome, (keeping close watch) but my Sapphire is getting a little bigger, and I am starting to notice his eyes more clearly, and more defined, but they are also changing color, almost hazy, so that is why I started to worry..

but then I noticed it was all blue, before it was deep black, no color, and his fins, are getting longer, but are developing a darker blue, as opposed to his Royal bright blue, but his eyes are getting the bright blue color..it's weird, so I am guessing that as they get older, and a little bigger I have seen color changes, on the body, and in the fins, but not in the eyes..Wondering how normal this is, and if anyone ever experienced this as well?

I have been trying to get good pix..he all of a sudden got camera shy..and maybe it is hurting his eyes.. I sure hope not, he used to love the camera..but I will keep trying, I need to analyze more closely with some good close ups..if at all possible..Any responses are welcome..Thanks

I have never heard of it my male developed a tiny bit of red on the fins but it might be light reflecting off in a different way.

Yeah, Pepsi had a tiny strip of turquoise in her eyes

I will try to get a pic of exactly what it looks like..it is both eyes, so I dunno if that is more or less worrisome..

Well I finally got some pix..and these are pretty good considering it's been very hard to get some of Sapphire lately..his eye that is changing..Is this normal looking..or is there something going on here..

So, Is that why he is avoiding the camera..is the Flash too bright..???

I dont have any idea what might be up with his eye, I wish I could tell you its okay but just keep watching to see if it changes anymore. Its nothing you did wrong and if something does happen he will be okay with only one eye and I read somewhere wish I could remember where it might have been here but anyway it was saying that fish use echo sound like bats do, so he will be fine. Hugs.. try not to worry so much I know you care so much for your fish and give them the best of care and they are very lucky to have you !!!!!
