I need to know what this is. *pics*

My betta has had these on him for a while now don't look like ick since its not white spots they are black. He eats just fine and he acts ok but its bugging me don't think he had it when I got him pics*

I'm sorry.. I can't see what you're talking about in the pics. I see white spots.. but from that angle they look like a glare on the water or something.

Where are the spots, are they raised, fuzzy or growing at all. How long have they been there (a while is too vague, days or weeks would work.) And can you get better pictures?

Let me see if I can fill out that form im using a droid phone lol the spots look like ick would on his side fins that he moves back and forth all the time except they are black spots and he has had them a couple months. Trying to get good pics but he moves his fins so fast I put him in a little cup of water hoping I could put my cam right over it and get a good pic.

Havent had to use heater this summer. What tank mates does your betta fish live with? He don't have any.

I know what you're talking about. I don't think its anything to worry about, i've seen a few Bettas with them on their little pectoral fins, i'll look and see if I can find a photo of another Betta with it as well.

As far as I know it's nothing to worry about.

They look similar to the right pectoral fin, correct? I've only ever seen them on Crowntails, it seems like it's nothing to worry about.


Also you should change his water twice a week since he's in a 1 gallon tank. A filter for a tank that size is not needed since ammonia can build up quicker then the filter will be able to clean the tank water. You should be doing a 50% water change then a 100% water change twice a week to keep him healthy.
