Hello!
I'm kind of an awol member.
My three fish died quite some time ago and I was told that if I wanted to stay in school I wasn't allowed to keep any more because they were taking up too much of my attention.
HOWEVER, a good friend of mine has a betta now and I'm going to try and build her a small, simple tank with pet store stem plants.
I was wondering however if I could add philodendren vines to the mix?
I mean the leaves wouldn't be submerged it'd just be the roots.
The reason I ask is because my mom, myself, and my family friends all grow our indoor philodendrens in jars or plastic bottles of water. They grow more slowly than those in a pot of soil but they do grow and their roots as well as their vines and leaves tend to be very impressive.
I was just wondering if you think the roots would be damaging to my friend's fish or not?
