Question Quick question

I bought the whole betta leaf (made by azoo I think) about a month ago and now the base of the stem is rusting, will it harm my fish? Should I remove it or can I leave it?

You should take it away. I actually tore out the metal part and now it will never rust. :) I'm pretty sure rust can harm him, but not sure how.

Ok thanks :) but when you tore the metal out how did you stop it from sagging? I am also thinking of putting this in a fry tank to help them have a spot to rest near the surface.

Ouch, fry? In the past, a member here had the hammock. It killed her Betta as the metal part was hanging out. :( You mean if the leaf will sag, right? Nope, mine never did. Once you pull it out halfway, just tug it out.

Or just seal it with some aquarium silicone.

Nvm I actually just was about to pull the metal out and incidentally scraped of some of the brown rust looking stuff. I think it was just some brown algae or fish waste. Anyway just wondering did you cut the covering on the leaf then pull it out?

Well, you know the leaf's base? Like this: (|) <- The line in the middle is the "base".
I tore it a little bit until I saw the metal part. Then I just pulled it out. I'm very bad at explaining but eh, at least I'm helping you.
