Betta lover from Canada

Hi All,

What started out as a simple trip to the fish store 3 months ago has turned into a new hobby. I love bettas and enjoy the hobby. Now I have 6 fish tanks and getting more. This site is a gold mine of information and its nice to be here. In a week I will have my first order arriving from Thailand arriving and getting ready now cycling my tanks and getting the water as perfect as possible. Going to give breeding a try after my new friends are comfortable. Any advise is appreciated and I hope to contribute here. Betta can be addictive. Great fun hobby!

Varied diet is good my local pet store the Bettas arrive in bags milliliters big to bowls from thialand.

Thanks Romand. Im getting 2 male and 3 female half moons. It took forever to decide which breeder and what individual fish to order as there are so many beauties to choose from. When they arrive I will post pics of the new clan.

I must say this is a wonderful forum with very helpful nice people. A pleasant departure from some of the other internet forums I've been on. Ive spent the last month reading and learning as much as possible, family thinks I am a bit nuts lol, but I like to do things right and very much want to keep all fish friends happy, happy, happy. I grew up on a farm with hundreds of animals and this hobby really suits me and my need to grow things up. I love watching bettas, they are such a smart fish and have so much character. First fish Fred is a VT with an attitude and he started a bubble nest his 2nd day home. I'm so glad I found this site.
