Unhappy Sir Bubbles already on the brink :(

So after having him for about 2 hours, SB decided that I guess he just doesn't enjoy it anymore. He began drastically darting around the tank, thrashing himself against the wall, and he drifted down under the bridge.

Well, I moved the bridge over so he could get out, and... he didn't move....

He's currently in a U shape in the corner of the tank and I'll get a very minimal response, but nothing else....

I think I'm losing him..

In order to get him to move, I have to tap against the glass as if I was actuall flicking someone. He moved over, but he just darted again around the tank. He doesn't have discoloration or any other signs of disease... :(

I really need help IMMEDIATELY.

If you just moved him into the tank, he is trying to adjust. I would leave him be..tapping the tank and trying to get him to move is just stressing him out. Let him rest a while and get used to his new home.

I only tapped on the tank once because I was 100% sure he was dead. There was no movement at all.

I've had a bad history with dead fish and I honestly can't imagine losing him already.

None of my bettas were THAT lethargic on the first day home...

Oh no...what is the temp of his water ? Yeah I bet he just needs some time to adjust to his new home and all plus from being in a shipping box where there is no light maybe the light is bothering him..I would turn off the light and give him time to adjust.

He looks a lot better already. I think the light was too strong for him at the moment.

Thanks everyone
