Blue & Tan Male Betta

This betta is working on 2 years old, and he is absolutely one of my favorites. ( His nickname is Triton). Despite being a tail biter (he shreds his fins about every 2-3 weeks), I think his colors are quite unique looking.

He is mostly electric blue & tan, but he also displays some black around the mouth and face.

I decided to put him a new 8g Marineland tank ( on the 09/03/2012), and I filled it with live plants. Within just a few days his fins have healed some already, and he has a nice size bubble nest under some of the plant leaves.
I plan on adding a piece of branced driftwood, but I haven't been able to find any smaler pieces that are reasonably priced.

I love his colors, I have seen a couple around my area and I always get so tempted!
