Cuddle Fish?

I put my finger in the tank to test if the water was warm because the reading on my thermometer didn't make sense. When I put my finger in to test the temp Aquarius swam over and started rubbing against it not once but five times. What is he doing? If he just being friendly or trying to court my finger? xD

do you regularly try to feed him with pellets on your fingertip? if so, he might be expecting a tasty treat. other than that, i could definitely see a betta mistaking the shape of a fingertip as another betta. did he start nesting afterwards?

My betta sometimes does that too...but like homegrown terror said, I do feed him a pellet with my finger. And I do agree with leilei, also, about trust

What about the fact that mine jumps only when i stick my nose above the aquarium? Does he want to kiss me or bite me?

I ask seriously. He only jumps for my nose.

I never feed him with my fingertip I just sprinkle the food in there but point from the other side of the glass to help him find it. And no he didn't build a nest but to be fair with the filter in there the bubbles he blows get spun about and sometimes pop so it's hard for him to build nests. He hasn't figured out to build them away from the filter yet.

i was just over at a friend's house, and stuck my finger in her betta's tank. first he flared at me, then took a little nip at my finger. it was adorable!
