All you have to do is ask the pharmacist. They will come show you which meds you'll be able to take and suggest the ones that will relieve your symptoms most effectively. It's part of their job description and every time my fiancee or I get sick they always help me choose the correct meds.

Stuff like Zicam hasn't actually been proven to be effective at shortening colds by the medical field, so I wouldn't waste my money on it. It's more of a psychological helper since your brain thinks you're taking something to help your body.
