I just got my betta (Ares) a couple weeks ago. I never thought owning a fish would be as enteraining as it is. I get pretty lonely in my dorm sometimes so he's alot of fun to watch but kind of distracting when I'm working on homework. Lol. I want to make sure he stays happy and healthy so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I can't get a heater until I get paid again but I did change his water and make it warmer and he seems to really be enjoying it. Im so glad I found this site it's very helpful.
Hi and welcome to the forum happy you are finding the information you need. You can get a heater the cheapest on Amazon if you are able to order on line I would do that. The Elite adjustable heaters are great , be sure and check the wattage that you need for your size tank.
Hello again prettypanda! Just saw ur thread and that you just got ur betta recently too. Post some pics...would love to see him :). Yes these lil guys are quite addicting and so relaxing to watch. If you havnt done so yet, try adding a couple of live plants. Some beautiful varieties and ur lil finned friend will enjoy them too! Enjoy :)
I agree Kat live plants are totally awesome I love mine I and once you get one or two you always want more kinda like with the Bettas...lol Not to mention just how good they are for the water and my Betta loves to sleep in his Hornwort.
