Healing my female

How long to I have to clean her water until I know she is in the clear? She is a happy little thing and is eating so I really think I helped her with the columnaris

Are you doing daily water changes and is it just clean water or are you doing a salt treatment?

If her columnaris is gone and you cant see it any more I would do it for an extra 5 days to be sure there's nothing nasty hiding out.

I am doing daily water changes with a small amount of AQS. I will do it for another 5 days then, I don't want her to get sick and die. :)

Okay :)

If you have been doing an AQS treatment for 10 days and it appears to be completely gone you can probably stop adding the salt if you wanted to and just keep doing daily water changes for those 5 days before putting her back in her home tank.
During the time with just fresh water it should show if she's fully healed or if there is still a problem, it would suck to have it start coming back right when she's been put back in her home & then have to completely clean out that tank again.

That's so odd how it happened too. I'm glad this one seems fine and has made it through.

I would love to do some kinda of community tank but i'm always worried about things like this, so i just keep everyone in their own tanks by themselves. A friend of mine lost her first sorority due to a break out in dropsy and her second was some kind of fungus as well. I don't think i would be able to deal with that, too much risk for me lol.
