Is this Betta ok?

I found this little guy at petco and i was wondering if he was healthy. His spots on his head look a little funny. Kind of looks like he has a mask on of some sort. lol. Very tempted to bring him home!! :(

It's a type of color pattern in bettas :) He looks decently healthy to me.

Marbling is when the er, when fish are blotchy & some have a tendency to change color altogether. Some fish change so much you can't tell its the same fish. :)
Thats the best way I could come up to explain it. xD

Edit: actually, because his head is so well, nude color, would he be piebald as well?

Yay, I will be getting him tomorrow then. Can anyone direct me to where I can learn how to split a 10 gallon tank into 2- 5gallons?

White or salmon pink faced Bettas in which the colours are splashed or blotched with no defined borders between the body and the fins or tail.
Two types of Marble Betta exist:
a) the traditional Marble or Piebald, which is a dark bodied fish with a white head or face and lacking in the colours red, green, blue and steel blue; and*
b) the Coloured Marble. The fins of the choice Coloured Marble show a sharp-edged mix of light and dark colours (red, green, blue, and steel blue) and the face and chin are white or pink / salmon coloured.*

I'd suggest doubling up on the craft mesh and measuring it a little more exactly so it fits without too much of a bend. Depending on what sort of hood you have, you can also trim the top and make it a little taller instead of having it stop right at the lip.
You may need to make trips to a couple of other stores, but a DIY divider is much cheaper and more stable with a store-bought one.
