I am getting two new galaxy rasboras to give my last schooling mates. I have 7.6 PH weekly water changes 20 gallon tank 75 watt light bulb do not know the rest of the parameters. Any floating plants or plants period you recommend that fish will like hiding in? Any sources you recommend for the fish and plants.

My fish love hornwort, although many people consider it a weed... it overgrows your tank in a couple months. But it is low maintenance & easily removed once you find plants you like better. (unlike some varieties of duckweed...!)

Another easy plant is anacharis, if you plant a wall of them, it will provide plenty of hiding space, especially for fry. These can also be left floating, but I prefer the organization of planting them.

I would also recommend amazon swords, schooling fish like to play hide & seek in the leaves.

I have Hornwort and Anacharis and love them both ! The Hornwort I just let float on the top surface of the water and Perseus loves to swim though it and sleep in it. And the Anacharis floats at the bottom. Both are easy fast growing plants. Ebay has some plants and also Aquabid. I will find a couple of other links I have and send them to you.
