Unhappy Eyes look big.

Hey guys, got a new 10 gallon and added my betta after it had cycled. Also added some tank mates. Just now I was taking some pictures of it and noticed Chibi's eyes seemed big? Maybe I'm just paranoid, but here is the picture:




Housing
What size is your tank? 10 gallon
What temperature is your tank? 78
Does your tank have a filter? Yes.
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? Undergravel filter.
Is your tank heated? Yes.
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? 6 neon tetras and 2 African Dwarf Frogs.

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Aqueon betta pellets and freeze-dried blood worms as treats
How often do you feed your betta fish? 3 pellets in morning and 3 at night

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? Weekly
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 10%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Prime.

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 5.0 ppm
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Eyes seem bigger
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? None
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Just now
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Not yet
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Only tail biting
How old is your fish (approximately)? Got him in May

I think you're being paranoid... but it could be the photo... observe for a bit longer and see. if he does have pop eye, it's caused by some other underlying disease...

He looks just fine to me... Bettas kind of have bug eyes... But like aokashi said, observe him just in case.

Thanks guys! I think it could just be the photo since it was taken at a really weird angle. I will keep checking in on him.

Make sure the tetras aren't nipping his fins, and they have plenty of hiding places. If he has jagged edes on his fins, remove him or the tetras.

Did you QT all the fish before adding them? Watch the neon tetras. If they seem sick, then you have something.
