planing a 20 long stock help

I'm debating between cories and platies or none at all with my planned sorority. Seems the platies will overstock my tank and not allow me to get as many girls; same with the cories. I have a 20g as well. Thoughts?

Well it really is up to you and the type/amount of filtration and water changes you want to do. But Live plants are awesome at keeping the bio load down.

I personally want to have a mixed interesting tank,with female bettas, but i also have a soft spot for live bearers.
I also like having bottom dwellers.

I say if you want more girls then go for it, leave the platies out.

Im definitely getting live plants and am good on filtration. I've decided on 6 each of platys and girls; no bottom dwellers unless ghost or cherry shrimp count lol.

you might have luck with ghosts. I had a few survive my first sorority.
