Exclamation Popeye?

Hi!
My female betta, lilo is living in a 55 gallon with 3 serpae tetra, 5 xray tetra and 5 cories. and a few random fish.

A few days ago I noticed a white dot on the front of her eye, and today it is covering her whole eye. It looks like a lose white film. Sometimes when she turns really fast the film looks like it is coming off.

I was thinking that it was either popeye or a fungal type of thing.
It doesn't look fuzzy, it just looks like a while film.

I have maracyn and kanaplex, so if that would be helpful treating her, tell me.
I also have aq salt.

I also have a half-gallon quarantine tank available, but Lilo hates being in there, because I put her in there for a few days so that her fin injuries would heal, and she was bouncing off the walls.

I was going to introduce 5 new females into the tank tomorrow, but now shes sick!!

it could be ick, or some type of parasite.

It doesn't look like ick though. Its just on her eye. And it doesn't look like a parasite. Should I quarantine her?

I would remove her and treat her in a quarantine tank. You don't want to risk your other fish getting sick.

I have used maracyn. I prefer not to use salt and I have never used kanaplex.

Ok I think that kanaplex and maracyn do the same thing, but they may have different active ingredients. I am using the kanaplex on my male who has a tough case of fin rot. He might also have septicima, but it treats that as well, so I'm hoping that whatever he has will go away.
Anyhow, those are both for bacterial infections, so if it isn't bacterial, will it hurt the fish by treating her when it isnt neccesary?
