Back in 2003-2008 I had a total of 6 bettas, one female 5 males.

They lived happy lives in 1 g tanks and had water changes twice a week.

No live plants at that time.

This time in July after my broken heart had finally healed enough to get another pet, 2 tiny female crowntails transfixed me at PetSmart. And they were on sale!

Now 3 months later I have 4 friggin' tanks, one with shrimp, one with snails, a QT full of scuds that I'm planning to make into a fresh food factory that also has 2 assassin snails in it from a generous RAOK on another forum.

Lots of live plants.

And a need for heaters heaters heaters.
