IAL on ebay and how to use it?

Im going to buy some IAL on ebay, how much should I look for and how do I use it? I would like to put a bit in 3 betta tanks. I see on ebay they are dry leaves, do i put the leaf in the water or just the liquid from soaked leaves?

look for Amy's Leaves. She is the best I've come across and the fairest. From her I would aim for C grade or even D if you can find it. You don't need perfect unscathed leaves for them.

not a problem. If you become a regular she'll send extras with the leaves. last time I got IAL tree seeds for me to attempt to start my own tree :D

Yeah, Amy is the best. I buy Cs and Ds for most of my tanks, but if you want them to float longer, go for A. No holes in the leaves. She's really good about sending extra stuff, too. Like Ivandert said. I've gotten bark and seeds.

For using the leaves, you have two options. You can plop the leaf right into the tank, or you can boil a bunch of leaves to create your own blackwater extract that can be stored in a bottle/jar until you need it, and then put the boiled leaves into the tank (they will still have some tannins to release).
