And the thermometer is showing 86..is it the kind that goes under the rocks?

yes my dad removed it for a water change and now Tarnish is laying on the bottom so I didn't want to disturb him or cause him even more stress so it's sitting off to the side, as low down as I could put it to warm the water

Probably one of the most powerful drugs on the market. Not cheap if I remember..

If his water is at 86* you really should turn that heater off. I think I know which one you're talking about and I use them in my 3 gallon and 2.5 gallon tanks. They raise the water temperature about 5 degrees in my tanks and are very gradual. If you see the temp drop below 80 turn it back on, but 86 seems to be really warm.

Will attack any bacteria in him. Says right in there what it does. Won't do viruses, but viruses are pretty much impossible to cure.

are viruses like pretty much just the end of a fish if they get one or could they outlast it maybe?

i mean as ive said, hes been sick for a month... yeah hes gotten worse now but hes looked like this a little at one earlier point then got better and now yeah...

but i mean... he's still alive so... i have some hope

He survived the night

I lowered the water level and the heater is partially out but is being used to just take the chill off the water

hes breathing still but no swimming or improvements
