While getting ready to put in the new plants I just posted about I noticed what looks like tiny clear extensions of my betta's fins. It only goes on a tiny bit, except for one which looks a little bit like a string. His fins also look less nice than normal? I'm not really sure how to describe it. I also noticed he's been lethargic lately and sometime it looks like he's having trouble swimming, but I thought he might just be getting old.
I was wondering if it might just be excess slime coat, but with the other symptoms I don't know. I was just about to do a water change and add plants and well as fertilizer, but I held off because I didn't want to stress him. Does anyone have idea what it could be?
