Fluffy's finnage -- one month later

About a month ago, I proudly showed off my new/first fish, a "crown-tail" betta that I named Fluffy. I was promptly and kindly informed that he was gorgeous; however, he was not a crown tail but a fin eater.

Here's what he looked like then:

This is what he looks like today:

He's been growing out his tail fin spectacularly, although he did take a chomp out of his anal fin a couple of weeks ago.

And here he is flaring at himself:

I think he might be a half moon? When he flares his tail fin goes fully vertical on the bottom edge, but not quite that far on the top.

He is gorgeous! I am dealing with a tail biting HM and it is amazing how fast they are able to regrow their fins. :) Hopefully Fluffy will keep his tail and not continue to nibble it down.

As far as to what he is, I would echo everyone else in saying he is a delta tail. If you had a side shot of him flaring it would be easier to see how his fins look.

It's hard to get a side shot of him flaring, but here is one when he was just starting to flare:

and one when he was just swimming around, fairly relaxed:

Gorgeous!

Pudge has been developing fin biting as well, but it doesn't want to get better. Well, I guess I just have to wait it out.

But yours is beautiful, even with the broken fins. Makes it look like a Ruffled dress :)
