Betta not liking pellets anymore.

My betta no longer like his pellets, I feed him the pellets then flakes to the shrimp and neons. and he will go after that now, is this common? or has anyone has this happen before?

Bettas are usually little piggies, they will eat the pellets then steal the flakes and snack on shrimp for dessert. It sounds like it just got tired of that one food so you can try a few things, you can use a different brand of pellets or flakes (tastes different) live food once or twice a week (extra treat not daily), you can have a one day fast (no food) every week. This will help clean the betta and will also help it's appetite, I would try that before buying different foods.
