So I finally dipped my toe back in the waters of betta breeding, and bred my DT pair. I used water conditioned with prime and an indian almond leaf, aged for 24 hours in a heated jug. I've never used indian almond leaves before, and I was curious to see how that along with a few other tweaks would affect the spawn.
The eggs hatched in less than 24 hours, and spawn in free-swimming in less than 48. They are all over the tank, and my male is completely surrounded by a little cloud of them.
He's frantic trying to put them all in the nest again, and I'm frantic cause it's time to remove him.
How do I get HIM out without 25 of them going along too? They're everywhere!
