No zombies, but apocalypse. You know.. 2012 Apocalypse. "December 21st 11:00pm". I don't believe it's going to happen but I'm afraid if it does happen. The Mayans were just probably bored and tired of making circles with dates.

Lmao! You can't rely on guns, they make too much noise and ammo is hard to get. I would go for a crossbow, that way I coul make my own bolts and it would be quiet to a degree. Then I would come downtown and hole up in a Walmart, so I could have a great deal of canned food, and supplies like clothes and water, knives, medical supplies. I have a huge plan. Lol! Of course to do all of this with a toddler in tow will be hard. It was so much easier to plan for zombies before I had a kid. Lmao!! Just kidding. X3

Because the possibility is real with bio weapons being created. To assuming something like this couldn't happen with what little we know what goes on with the govt. is stupid in my opinion.
Though I agree, being prepared for any disaster (zombie or otherwise) is a good thing. Heck, even the CDC has a zombie plan on their website. It's useful info. to have in any emergency situation.

The mayans? A race that literally walked away their civilization. Besides people are misreading the mayans, they believed in cycles. That date is the end of a cycle, and the beginning of a new one.

As for zombies well it is all but impossible. Sure you can make the brain act alive and the muscles and tissue but without all three the body is useless. Not to mention the brain is very delicate and even the slightest trauma can cause a system wide failure. And then there is the fact of what could possibly charge a body enough to bring it to life and what could keep it charged? The soul powers us while we're alive but what then when it vacates?

Now perhaps there is a chemical or disease that would cause madness and murderous side effects but a zombie not likely.

traditional "living dead" type zombies are impossible, but it's entirely possible these days to engineer a virus that would cause similar behavioral reactions. just look at the rabies virus, which if left untreated, can already act in such a way, causing unstoppable, mindless aggression in mammals. it wouldn't take much for some black-budget genetic lab to speed up it's incubation time and increase it's transmissibility, and then boom, you've got a zombie-esque situation on your hands.
