Betta Log

I finally got one of those floating betta logs for Junior that I've always been interested in... I fed him in it this afternoon so hopefully he warms up to it!

I was wondering what everyone else's experiences were with betta logs! Were they worth it in your opinion? Thanks :)

a lot of people say the paint chips off of it but i have two and neither of them have done that. i do find the inside a bit rough so i used some sand paper on the inside. I also anchor mine with thread so it stays in place. i put thread though the log and on each end it hangs out the back of the tank and the lid of the tank keeps it in place. my two bettas who have the log do use them

IME they LOVE the floating logs!
But personally... i hated mine. The paint chipped off really bad.

This is how it looked after 3 months >.<

I got a slightly larger version of the zoomed floating log at Petco, and my betta loves it. It's his go to spot for hiding, lounging, sleeping and often times feeding.

I had to anchor mine in a filtered 10g with a couple soft, tall plastic plants to corner it. It looks really nice in the tank.

I haven't seen any wear to the log yet, but i've only had it for a few weeks now.

All the complaints about the paint coming off, I bought a few pieces of PVC pipe. Just need to get the last of the adhesive off (barcode) and crossing my fingers that the boys will like them.
